Well, it’s that time of year again: fall. Isn’t it just a lovely season? The leaves are changing colors and fall from trees, every treat is becoming pumpkin related, scarves are our new best friend, and much more. Slowly but surely, summer is fading away; the flowers are dying and the warm weather will soon become crisp.
Honestly, I enjoy seeing the change of seasons. It reminds me of how much life will always change.
Nothing is ever going to be the same because that’s just life. But although change is never bad, it can be hard.
A lot of times, we like for things to stay the same. We don’t want to give up what we’re comfortable with.
You know, I tend to have difficulty with parting away from certain items. There are just some things I want to hold onto because they’re familiar and I just don’t want to let go. But sometimes, we have to. We can’t stay in our comfort zone forever because God has things in-store for us; we must take a step forward into the next chapter.
However, you know why we can have joy and hope in a season of change?
Because God never changes.
He stays the same forever and ever (Hebrews 13:8) because He is not man. Nothing about Him will ever be different, but always the same, which is why He is reliable.
Of course, we can never go through anything on our own because we don’t have the strength to. That is why we must depend on Him so that we will feel less afraid to take the next step. He’s always there to hold your hand and won’t let go; He’s here to guide you in everything.
Embrace the change because it’s a part of His plan for your life, which is not meant to harm you but give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
Despite how much we may not like change, don’t forget to rejoice always and give thanks in the circumstance.
Like I said, this is a part of His plan, so that is something we can rejoice about. He knows exactly what He is doing in our lives but we just have to trust Him and not be control freaks. He will never lead us astray or onto a path that is not Biblical; everything He does aligns with His Word. So, don’t be scared to move on because He is right there with you, every step of the way.
Let Him guide you, dear friend…there’s something that He wants to show you on the other side of the door.
To God be the glory,
